On 12 June, Out for Australia celebrated its 2018 Mentoring Program for Victoria in partnership with Accenture, one of OFA’s official sponsors.

The event also celebrated the launch of Mentorloop, the exciting new online platform for the OFA Mentoring Program.  Mentorloop will empower OFA community members to find and connect to more mentors and mentees and form stronger mentoring connections.

Attendees were generously hosted in the new Zen Room at Accenture’s offices on Collins Street.  The OFA event was part of the ongoing support of the LGBTIQ community facilitated by the LGBTIQ network at Accenture, Pride at Accenture.

The evening provided an opportunity for attendees to meet mentors, mentees, supporters and community members for an evening of networking and conversation.  Many existing mentors and mentees used the opportunity to catch up, while new connections formed via Mentorloop were developed in a friendly and open space.

Attendees briefly heard from Ian Goshko (Accenture’s Senior Manager of Transformation, Talent & Change Management) who spoke about the importance of diversity and inclusion at Accenture. OFA’s National Mentoring Coordinator, Blake Connell, also provided some insights into the Mentoring Program and the benefits that Mentorloop hopes to bring to OFA mentors and mentees.

OFA would like to reiterate its thanks to Accenture for its ongoing and generous support.  In particular, OFA is grateful for the help and support of the entire Pride at Accenture team who helped to make the Mentoring Launch a huge success.
