Out For You

Our very own Out For You podcast is back for another season! Brought to you by Out For Australia and Avanade, each episode will showcase a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, where they will discuss work, life, and how to lead with your authentic self.

Enjoy our premier episode with special guest Johnathan Davis! Johnathan is the member of the Tuggeranong seat of Brindabella and was elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly in 2020. He is the Greens Spokesperson for Education, Health and LGBTQIA+ matters just to name a few. When asked what being an activist for the LGBTQIA+ community meant to him, as a Greens representative, he had this to say:

‘I think it just means being honest about who I am and how my life as a queer person informs my politics and positions in office.’

He and Out For You’s host Rhen Callinan discussed many topics from Johnathan’s political career, his stance on LGBTQIA+ activism, and also how he’s navigated his personal life being an openly gay man.

For more insights from Johnathan, access the episode here: https://linktr.ee/outforaustralia

Of course, we’re fortunate to have many members working on our podcast to make it as incredible as it is. Out For You’s host Rhen Callinan absolutely loved working on this project and shared his views on what it was like:

‘Teaming up with Out For Australia to create the Out For You Podcast has truly been a rewarding experience in many ways. Firstly, I was able to connect with many different people from all walks of life and different experiences when it comes to being openly queer not only in the workplace but just trying to be their authentic selves in everyday life.

‘I found all my guests incredibly fascinating and personable. I also found that I could relate to all of them in one way or another. I am beyond excited for everyone to be able to listen to these incredible stories about journeys to self discovery and authenticity.’

Out For You will come out fortnightly and can be accessed on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts (or here!)
